My copy of Dragon Age 2 still hasn't arrived yet and I'm getting tired of having to avoid spoilers. That’ll teach me for choosing free shipping. I also have to avoid video game sections in stores because seeing copies of DA2 makes me sad.
In fact, I'm so impatient for DA2 that I drew Rune Factory 3 fan art. Yeah, because that makes total sense.

So I'm thinking I need to have an online presence again. I've basically disappeared for a while, but still lurked around.
First thing I'm trying to think about is where to have a art and inspiration blog at. I'm thinking about blogspot or tumblr and keep my LJ as a junk journal, or keep this LJ as my art journal and use my second LJ account as my junk journal.
So the to do list: - Set up art journal - update my DeviantART gallery (wow, it sure has been neglected) - new look for my web site - set up new domain for web site
Other things to do: - do more photography - flikr stuff - facebook? (shurg) - learn Spanish
Let's see if I actually stick around this time.
I also decided to rework that old kissy book drawing I submitted and I might use it for an art card to sell later:

It's been a while. Though I should post something at least.

Meet your tour guide to the island. Just don't expect her to hold you by the hand and actually give you a tour. She prefers vague hits that point you in the right direction and turkey sandwiches. Also, don't bother asking her questions about the island, she’ll just tell you to watch out for the Hipster Hare.
I think I'll go back and work on this more. Make the puffy sleeves and straps not look so weird (it was all done by mouse).

| icons, yo! |
[Jul. 23rd, 2010|06:14 pm] |
I’m definitely not a regular icon maker. I only make them when I find something that would be funny as an icon, so I only end up making about 2 icons a month. But I found some fun stuff while reading The Comics Curmudgeon, so I made some more. I also have some random cartoon icons and two Ace Attorney icons.

| Alice in Wonderland |
[Jul. 20th, 2010|07:56 pm] |
So I got a pretty awesome late birthday present: an Alice in Wonderland book with illustrations by Camille Rose Garcia, one of my favorite artists!

I never actually read the book before, so now that I have a copy of my own I’ll have to get around to reading it. Oddly enough, right when this book came in the mail I rented Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and loved it. Now I’m in a AiW mood so of course I had to make a new icon. I went with the Simpsons scene just to be funny.
Back to Camille Rose Garcia, I now have another book of her art to add to my collection! The only book of hers I’m missing is Tragic Kingdom. There are other books and magazines that feature her work with other artists (like Blab 14 in the picture below), but I’m not really going to hunt those down.

I hope she does Through the Looking Glass next. |

| 2 is the magic number |
[Jan. 26th, 2010|11:02 am] |

YES! I was able to get both games today. But now, I don’t know which one to play first. I was thinking of No More Heroes 2 first because it seems like it would be the shorter game of the two, but then I read that there would be about 100 boss fights in No More Heroes 2. I also just beat the first Mass Effect two days ago so I’m still on a Mass Effect high.
So it comes down to this: do I want to play as my custom female Shepard, or go for the chance to play as Shinobu and Henry (two of my favorite characters from the first game)? Do I romance an alien, or play 8-bit, steak cooking mini games? Assault weapons, or beam katana?
Hmmm…
Also: What the hell, Ubisoft? What is with your cheap ass instruction booklets? (sigh) |

| Chekhov's gun |
[Jan. 19th, 2010|11:09 pm] |

I just finished watching the movie Paranormal Activity with both the theatrical ending and alternate ending. Am I alone in thinking that the theatrical ending ruined the Chekhov's gun set up? |
